Psalm 5 - The Goodness of God

In the morning, O Lord, You hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a prayer and an offering to You and I watch and wait for You to speak to my heart. You are a God who takes pleasure in the righteous whose heart is set on you. 

Only goodness dwells in You there is no darkness. I enter your house through the abundance of Your steadfast love and tender mercy. That all may enter in. At Your temple I bow obediently in reverence to You. 

O Lord, lead me in your righteousness for Your Names sake. Make Your way straight, direct and right before me so that I may walk upon it and follow You. For you alone are trustworthy, reliable and truthful. I will always take refuge and put my trust in You. 

I rejoice and sing for joy because You cover and shelter me. I love Your Name and my heart is filled with joyful exaltation to You. For You have blessed me and You surround me with favor as with a shield. Holy are You O Lord
