God Makes Himself Known
Scripture:
âThe heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.â (Psalm 19:1)
Reflection:
God is not distant or unknowable. From the very beginning, He has been revealing Himself to His people. Creation itself proclaims His majesty â the beauty of a sunset, the order of the seasons, the vastness of the stars all whisper His greatness. Each morning when the sun rises and each evening when it sets, we are reminded that there is a God who holds all things together.
But Godâs self-revelation doesnât stop at creation. He has given us His Word, a living testimony of who He is. Through Scripture, He reveals His character, His promises, and His will for us. When we open the Bible, we are not just reading words on a page; we are encountering the living God who longs to be known. Ultimately, God has made Himself most fully known through Jesus Christ â the Word made flesh. In Him, the invisible God becomes visible.
The more we open our eyes, the more we realize that God is always speaking. He speaks through His creation, His Word, His Spirit, and even through the circumstances of our lives. Knowing Him requires attentiveness â a willingness to notice His fingerprints everywhere. He is not hiding; He is inviting us to see Him, hear Him, and walk with Him daily.
Prayer:
Father, thank You that You are not hidden from me. Open my eyes to see You in creation, my ears to hear You in Your Word, and my heart to recognize Your presence in my life today.
Reflection Questions:
Where have I noticed God revealing Himself in creation recently?
How can I be more intentional about listening for His voice in Scripture and in daily life?
