His Strength Is Steady
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.”
— Psalm 28:7
God’s strength is steady, even when mine is not.

Reflection
By now, you may be noticing something subtle: even if your circumstances haven’t changed, something inside you is beginning to steady.
That’s often how Jesus works.
He doesn’t always remove the weight immediately, but He strengthens us beneath it. He becomes a steady presence — a shield — when we feel exposed and worn down.
Being tired doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’ve been carrying real things. And trusting Jesus doesn’t mean pretending you’re okay, it means leaning into His strength instead of forcing your own.
Steady strength doesn’t shout. It doesn’t rush. It doesn’t demand that you hurry up and feel better.
It simply holds you.
When Scripture says the Lord is our strength, it doesn’t mean we suddenly feel strong. It means we are supported. Helped. Sustained.
Today, you don’t have to brace yourself for what’s ahead. You can trust that Jesus is already there steady, present, and willing to help you.
Prayer
Lord,
Thank You for being my strength today when I feel worn down.
Help me trust You as my shield and my support.
Teach me how to lean on You instead of pushing myself forward alone.
I receive Your steady strength today.
Amen.
