Sept. 13, 2025 Knowing God Builds Trust
“Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek You.” (Psalm 9:10)

Reflection:
Trust is not something we can force; it grows out of relationship. The psalmist reminds us that those who truly know God’s name — His character and His nature — cannot help but trust Him. Why? Because knowing who God is changes how we see our circumstances. When we know He is faithful, we trust Him in uncertainty. When we know He is good, we lean on Him in hardship.
Think of how we learn to trust people in our lives. Trust is built when promises are kept, when faithfulness is proven, and when love is consistent. God has proven His character time and time again — not only in Scripture but in our own stories. Remembering His past faithfulness fuels present trust.
Trust is also strengthened in trials. It’s often in the hardest seasons that we discover God’s presence most profoundly. Even when the outcome isn’t what we expected, His nearness sustains us. The more we know Him, the less we fear the unknown, because we are confident in the One who holds it all.
Prayer:
Lord, deepen my understanding of Your character. Teach me to trust You more fully by remembering Your faithfulness. Help me rest in Your goodness today.
Reflection Questions:
How has God proven His faithfulness in my life before?
Where is He asking me to trust Him more fully right now?
