Psalm 37 - I trust in the Lord,
Father I thank You that I do not worry because of evildoers, nor am I envious toward wrongdoers; For they will wither quickly like the grass, And fade like the green herb. You are my shield and strong tower. I rejoice in You.
I trust in and have confidence only in the Lord and am able to do good; I dwell in the land and feed on Your faithfulness. I delight myself in You Lord, and You give me the desires and petitions of my heart.
I commit my ways to the Lord; I trust in You also and You will do it.
You Father make my righteousness, my pursuit of right standing with God like the light, and my judgement like the shining of the noonday sun, through the blood of Jesus Christ.
I am still before the Lord; I wait patiently for Him and entrust myself to Him. I do not fret, whine or agonize because of the person who prospers in their own way, because of the man who carries out wicked schemes I ease from anger and abandon wrath; I do not fret; it leads me only to evil. For those who do evil will be cut off, but I wait for the Lord, and I inherit the land.
For yet a little while and the wicked one will be gone forever; Though I look carefully where he used to be, he will not be found. I am humble and will inherit the land.And I delight myself in abundant prosperity and peace.The wicked plot against the righteous and gnashes him with his teeth. The Lord laughs at him the wicked one who oppresses the righteous. For He sees that his day of defeat is coming.
The wicked have drawn the sword and bent their bow to cast down the afflicted and the needy, to slaughter those who are upright in conduct those with personal integrity and godly character. The sword of the ungodly will enter their own heart, and their bow will be broken.
Better is the little of the righteous who seek the will of God than the abundance of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked will be broken, But the Lord upholds and sustains the righteous who seek Him. The Lord knows the days of the blameless, and their inheritance will continue forever. They will not be ashamed in the time of evil, and in the days of famine they will have plenty and be satisfied.
But the wicked will perish, and the enemies of the Lord will be like the glory of the pastures and like the fat of lambs that is consumed in smoke. They vanish like smoke they vanish away. The wicked borrows and does not pay back, According to God's righteousness I am gracious and kind and give. For I am blessed by God and will inherit the land, but those cursed by Him will be cut off.
My steps are directed and established by the Lord, and He delights in his way and blesses my path. When I fall, I will not be hurled down, because the Lord is the One who holds my hand and sustains me. I have been young and now I am old, Yet I have not seen the righteous or his descendants pleading for bread. All the day long I am gracious and lend and my descendants are a blessing. I depart from evil and do good; and I will dwell securely in the house of the Lord forever. For the Lord delights in justice and does not abandon me He preserves me forever. But the descendants of the wicked will in time be cut off.
I inherit the land and live in it forever, my mouth proclaims wisdom and my tongue speaks of justice and truth. The law of God is in my heart and not one of my steps will slip.
Though the wicked lie in wait for the righteous and seeks to kill him. The Lord will not leave me in his hand or let me be condemned when I am judged. I will wait for and expectantly look for the Lord and keep His way, and He will exalt me to inherit the land; In the end when the wicked are cut off, I will see it.
I have seen a wicked, violent man with great power spreading and flaunting himself like a cedar in its native soil, Yet he passed away and lo, he was no more, I sought him, but he could not be found. The Lord has marked me with His Holy Spirit the blameless woman and behold the upright. There is a good future for me for I am a woman of peace and my life of honor will bless my descendants.
As for transgressors, they will be completely destroyed; the future of the wicked will be cut off. But my salvation is from the Lord; He is my refuge and stronghold in the time of trouble. The Lord helps me and rescues me; He rescues me from the wicked and saves me because I take refuge in Him. Holy are You Lord God Almighty.
