      I waited patiently and expectantly for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry. He brought me up out of a horrible pit of tumult and of destruction, out of the miry clay, And He set my feet upon a rock, steadying my footsteps and establishing my path. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to my God; Many will see me and fear God with great reverence, and will trust confidently in the Lord.

     Blessed and favored by God am I for I have made God my trust, and do not regard the proud nor those who lapse into lies. Many O Lord my God are the wonderful works which You have done, and Your thoughts toward me; there is none to compare with You.  If I would declare and speak of Your wonders, they would be too many to count. 

​

     Sacrifice and meal offerings You do not desire from me; nor do you delight in them; You have opened my ears and given me the capacity to hear and obey Your word; burnt offerings and sin offerings You did not desire from me. 

​

    Then I came to Your throne through Jesus Christ. In the scroll of the book it is written of Him. And because of His sacrifice I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your law is within my heart. I want to proclaim the good news of righteousness and the joy that comes from obedience to You in the great assembly; 

​

     Behold I will not restrain my lips from proclaiming Your righteousness . As You know O Lord, I do not want to conceal Your righteousness within my heart; I want to proclaim Your faithfulness and Your salvation.  I do not want to conceal Your loving kindness and Your truth from the great assembly. 

​

     Lord You do not withhold Your compassion and tender mercy from me. Your loving kindness and Your truth continually preserve me.  Though innumerable evils have encompassed me and my sins have overtaken me, and my heart has failed me. You are pleased O Lord to save me. You make haste and help me because of Your Loving kindness.

​

     Let those who delight in my shame and who seek to destroy me and who delight in my hurt be put to shame and be made desolate. I will seek You and rejoice and be glad in You. I will love Your salvation continually and I will say the Lord be magnified! Even when I am afflicted and needy; You Lord still think and are mindful of me. You are my only help and my only rescuer and You do not ever delay because of Your mercy.
