Growing as a Disciple
Therefore, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him, established in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
Colossians 2:6–7

Reflection
When someone begins a relationship with Jesus, it is the beginning of something wonderful but it is also the beginning of a journey. The Bible often describes this journey as growing.
Just like a seed planted in the soil slowly grows into a strong plant, our relationship with Jesus deepens over time. As we spend time with Him, learn from His Word, and walk in His ways, our hearts begin to change.
This is what it means to become a disciple.
A disciple is someone who follows Jesus closely and learns from Him. The first disciples walked dusty roads with their Rabbi, listening to His teaching and watching the way He lived.
Today we grow as disciples in a similar way by staying close to Jesus. The more we learn about who He is, the more our love for Him grows. The more we see His goodness, the more we trust Him. The more we understand His heart, the more we want our lives to reflect His.
Spiritual growth doesn’t happen all at once. It happens little by little as we continue walking with Him day by day. But here is the beautiful truth: The more we know Him, the more we love Him. And the more we love Him, the more we desire to follow Him. That is what it means to grow with Him.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for inviting me to follow You. Help me continue growing as Your disciple. Teach me through Your Word and guide me by Your Spirit. As I learn more about You, let my love for You grow deeper each day. Amen.
