Peace Is the Pace of Walking With God

Colossians 3:15
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, for to this you were called as members of one body. And be thankful.”

Reflection

When we run ahead of God, we often feel anxious. Pressured. Driven. But when we walk with Him, there is a different undercurrent peace.

Peace does not mean everything is settled. It means your heart is governed by Christ rather than urgency. When peace rules, striving quiets. Comparison fades. Pressure loosens.

If you are beginning again, pay attention to pace. God’s direction is rarely frantic. The doors that open in His timing will carry peace with them. Let peace be your confirmation that you are walking with Him.

Prayer

Father, teach me to recognize Your peace. When anxiety pushes me forward, slow me down. Let the peace of Christ rule in my heart and guide my steps. I want to move at the pace of Your presence. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

Reflection Questions
  1. Does my current pace feel peaceful or pressured?

  2. Where might anxiety be pushing me ahead of God?

  3. How can I practice listening for peace this week?
