The Faithful Step Is Enough
“He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?”
Micah 6:8

Reflection
When we think about beginning again, we often imagine large changes. Big movement. Clear direction. Tangible progress. But God’s requirement is not dramatic achievement. It is humble walking.
To walk humbly with your God means you do not have to leap ahead. You do not have to prove readiness. You simply take the next faithful step. The one in front of you. The quiet one.
Sometimes we exhaust ourselves trying to see ten steps ahead. But God forms us in the one step we are actually standing in. Faithfulness in the small, ordinary movements of today is enough. It is not insignificant to Him.
Prayer
Lord, help me stop measuring faithfulness by visible progress. Teach me to walk humbly with You in small steps. Quiet my urgency and steady my pace. Let today’s obedience be enough. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.
Reflection Questions
What small step is in front of me right now?
Where am I tempted to overreach instead of walk humbly?
What would it look like to call this season “faithful” instead of “slow”?
Today’s Thought
