Walking Toward Something Truer

2 Corinthians 12:9
“But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.’”

Reflection

Letting go of an exhausting version of faith can feel unsettling at first. If we are not striving, what are we doing? If we are not pushing, are we falling behind?

But God’s power is perfected in weakness. Not in constant spiritual intensity. Not in relentless effort. In weakness. That means you do not have to hold faith together on your own shoulders.

If faith has felt heavy, you are not walking away from God. You may be walking toward something truer — a faith that is lighter, steadier, and deeply rooted in grace.

You are not losing your devotion. You are rediscovering it in its simplest form: walking with Him, held by grace.

Prayer

Lord, thank You that Your grace is sufficient for me. Help me release the version of faith that exhausted me. Teach me to walk in weakness without fear. Root me deeply in grace. Amen.

Reflection Questions
  1. What version of faith do I need to release?

  2. Where do I resist weakness because it feels unsafe?

  3. What would faith look like if it were rooted fully in grace?

Today’s Thought

I am not walking away from faith — I am walking toward grace.
