You Can Rest Here

“Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from Him.”

Reflection

There is a kind of rest that goes deeper than sleep.

It’s the rest that comes when your heart stops bracing for what might happen next when the constant effort to hold everything together begins to loosen its grip.

This is the rest God offers.

Rest doesn’t mean that all your questions have been answered or that every problem has been resolved. It means your soul has found a safe place to settle: a place where it doesn’t have to stay on high alert.

God doesn’t rush you through this rest. He invites you into it.

You don’t have to keep proving that you’re okay.
You don’t have to keep anticipating the next challenge.
You don’t have to stay strong for everyone else.

Here, in God’s presence, you are allowed to pause.

Today, let yourself rest not because everything is finished, but because God is faithful. Your soul can settle in Him, knowing that He is holding what comes next.

Prayer

Jesus,
Thank You for being a place of rest for my soul.
Help me release the tension I’ve been carrying and trust You with what’s ahead.
Teach me how to remain in this rest, even as I move forward.

Amen.
