Father, You lovingly refine and shape the hearts of those who belong to You.  Create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me.

Lord, surrender often reveals areas of pride, fear, selfishness, and hidden resistance within me. Sometimes I want Your blessings while still holding tightly to parts of my heart that I have not fully yielded to You. Please expose anything within me that keeps me from deeper obedience and intimacy with You. Purify my motives and teach me humility before You.

I surrender my pride, hidden fears, selfishness, and resistance into Your hands. I trust that Your refining work is done in love and faithfulness.

Thank You for patiently transforming my heart. Thank You that You discipline and refine those You love. I trust You to continue shaping me into the likeness of Christ.
