2 Chronicles
2 Chronicles continues Israel’s story with a special focus on the kings of Judah, the temple in Jerusalem, and the people’s covenant relationship with God. Beginning with Solomon’s reign and the building of the temple, the book follows Judah’s kings through seasons of faithfulness, reform, rebellion, and decline until the Babylonian exile. Again and again, the people are called to seek the Lord, return to Him, and worship Him faithfully. 2 Chronicles reveals the Lord as the God who responds to humble repentance, remains faithful to His covenant, and continues working toward restoration even after judgment.
