Colossians

Colossians takes its name from the believers in Colossae to whom Paul wrote the letter. Paul emphasizes the supremacy and sufficiency of Jesus Christ, warning against teachings that would diminish who He is or suggest that believers need something more than Him. The letter explains that Christ is Lord over creation, the church, and the believer’s new life. Colossians reveals Jesus as fully sufficient for salvation and spiritual growth, calling His people to set their minds on Him and live with compassion, humility, love, and faithfulness.
