Ecclesiastes

Ecclesiastes takes its Hebrew name, Qohelet (קֹהֶלֶת), from the title given to the speaker, often translated “Teacher” or “Preacher.” The book reflects honestly on work, pleasure, wisdom, success, aging, injustice, and the passing nature of life “under the sun.” Again and again, Ecclesiastes shows the limits of trying to find lasting meaning in what is temporary. It calls us to receive life as God’s gift, live with humility, and remember that true wisdom begins with reverence for Him.
