Isaiah
Isaiah takes its name from the prophet Yeshayahu (יְשַׁעְיָהוּ), whose name means “The LORD is salvation.” The book speaks into a time of political danger, spiritual rebellion, and coming judgment, while also offering powerful promises of hope and restoration. Isaiah calls God’s people to turn from empty religion, injustice, and misplaced trust and return to the Lord with faithful hearts. It reveals the Lord as the Holy One of Israel—just, sovereign, compassionate, and faithful—and points forward to the coming Servant and King through whom God would bring salvation.
