Joshua

Joshua takes its name from Israel’s new leader, Yehoshua (יְהוֹשֻׁעַ), whose name means “The LORD saves.” The book follows Israel as they cross the Jordan, enter the Promised Land, and begin taking possession of the land God had promised to their ancestors. Joshua records moments of courage, obedience, failure, judgment, and renewed commitment as the people learn what it means to trust God and walk faithfully with Him. It reveals the Lord as the faithful promise-keeper who goes before His people, calls them to courageous obedience, and remains with them as they step into what He has prepared.
