Zechariah

Zechariah takes its name from the prophet Zekharyah (זְכַרְיָה), whose name means “The LORD remembers.” Zechariah speaks to God’s people after the exile, encouraging them as they rebuild the temple and renew their covenant life. Through visions, symbolic messages, and promises of restoration, the book calls the people to return to the Lord with faithful hearts. Zechariah reveals the Lord as the God who remembers His promises, restores His people, and points forward to a coming King whose reign will bring peace, cleansing, and hope.
