Trusting in Surrender
Scripture:
“Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
Reflection:
Trust often looks like surrender. Being still before God is not passivity, but an act of faith. It is laying down striving, worry, and control, and resting in the truth that He is God and we are not.
Stillness is difficult in a world that values constant activity.
We often equate busyness with effectiveness, but spiritual growth often happens in quiet surrender. Trusting in stillness means saying, “God, You are enough. I don’t have to fix everything. I rest in Your sovereignty.”
In surrender, we discover peace. Anxiety loses its grip when we remember who sits on the throne. Trust flourishes when we release control and embrace God’s authority.
Prayer:
Lord, teach me the beauty of surrender. Help me to be still before You and rest in the assurance that You are God.
Reflection Questions:
Do I find it difficult to be still before God? Why?
2. What area of my life needs surrender into His hands today?
