Before We Go Deeper

What God is about to do in you (Days 4–11)
If you’ve been walking through these first few days with me can we just pause for a moment?
Because something has already shifted. Maybe it’s subtle. Maybe you can’t fully put words to it yet. But you’ve stepped into the light. You’ve allowed yourself to be seen. You’ve started to be honest with God in a way that feels different.
And if I’m honest, this is where I would usually want to rush ahead. Like, “Okay, I’ve admitted what’s going on now let’s fix it.” But that’s not what God does. He doesn’t rush you. He stays with you.
What we’ve been doing these first few days hasn’t been about changing everything all at once. It’s been something much more important. We’ve been coming into His presence honestly. Not cleaned up. Not filtered. Not rehearsed. Just real.
And that might feel small. But it’s actually the foundation for everything that comes next.
This next part of the journey is different. It’s deeper. Not heavier just more honest. Because once you stop hiding, God doesn’t immediately start correcting you. He begins to reveal things to you gently, layer by layer.
Over the next several days, you may begin to notice thoughts you didn’t realize were shaping you. Patterns that keep repeating. Places where fear or control quietly shows up. Areas where your heart has been protecting itself.
And I want you to hear this clearly. This is not God exposing you to shame you. This is God revealing things so He can heal them.
It might feel uncomfortable at times. You might find yourself thinking, “Why do I keep reacting this way?” or “I didn’t realize this was still in me,” or even, “This goes deeper than I thought.” And that’s okay. Actually, it’s more than okay. It means you’re letting Him in.
Let’s be really clear about something, because this matters. God is not disappointed in you. He’s not frustrated with your pace. He’s not waiting for you to get it together. He is not standing at a distance, evaluating you.
He is sitting with you. He is gently uncovering what’s been hidden. He is showing you what’s been shaping your heart. He is inviting you to trust Him in those places. Not to overwhelm you but to free you.
This is where confession begins to shift. It’s no longer just about admitting what you’ve done wrong. It becomes something deeper. It becomes, “God, help me understand what’s really going on in my heart with You.”
So before we move forward, I just want to invite you into one simple posture. Stay open. Not perfect. Not strong. Not figured out. Just open.
Lord as we continue this journey with You, help us not to rush past what You’re doing in us. Give us the courage to see what You’re revealing, and the trust to know that You are gentle with our heart. Help us to stay with You, even when things go deeper than we expected. We don’t want to turn away. We want to walk through this with You. Amen.
As you step into Days 4 through 11, just remember this. You are not uncovering things alone. You are not fixing yourself. You are walking through this with Him.
With you in every step of this journey
Maria
