Filled and Set Apart

For thirty days we have stood beside our cisterns. Together we have examined the cracks, removed the debris, faced the places of dryness, and invited the Lord into areas that needed repentance and healing. We have talked about fear, pride, shame, striving, distraction, bitterness, people-pleasing, false sources, divided hearts, and all the things that prevent us from fully receiving the Living Water God desires to pour into our lives.
Yet repentance was never the destination.
God does not reveal broken places so that we will remain focused on our brokenness. He reveals them because He desires restoration. He uncovers what hinders us so that He can heal us. He clears away what blocks the flow so that Living Water can move freely once again. Throughout this journey we have discovered that God is not merely interested in repairing a cistern. His desire is much greater than that.
Jesus said:
“Whoever believes in Me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within him.” (John 7:38)
The goal was never simply to fill the cistern. The goal was always overflow.
As Living Water continually fills our lives, the landscape around us begins to change. Dry ground becomes fertile. Roots grow deeper. Trees become established beside the stream. Fruit begins to appear. What God pours into us eventually flows outward to others.
As we close this season of repentance and restoration, I encourage you not to see this as an ending, but as a beginning.
The Lord has been preparing something. He has been clearing space. He has been teaching us to remain near the Source. And now we begin asking a new question: What does God do with a life that is continually being filled by His presence?
Over the coming weeks, we will begin exploring another beautiful biblical picture—oil. Throughout Scripture, oil symbolizes consecration, healing, worship, the presence of God, and the work of the Holy Spirit. From priests and kings to the ministry of Jesus Himself, the story of anointing oil reveals what it means to be set apart for God’s purposes.
If Living Water teaches us where our life comes from, holy oil teaches us what God desires to do with the life He has filled.
The journey continues. So stay close to the Source. Keep drinking deeply. Keep allowing Him to restore what is broken.
And may the Living Water within you become a river that refreshes everyone around you.
Grace, peace and love,
