A New Life Begins
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!
2 Corinthians 5:17

Reflection
When someone places their trust in Jesus, something beautiful begins. It’s not just a moment of forgiveness. It’s the beginning of a new life. The Bible describes it this way: you become a new creation. That doesn’t mean everything changes overnight or that life suddenly becomes perfect. But something real happens deep within your heart. God begins the work of making you new.
Your past no longer defines you.
Your sins are forgiven.
And you now belong to God.
Scripture says that those who believe in Jesus are given the right to become children of God. That means your relationship with God is no longer distant or uncertain. You are welcomed into His family. And there is another incredible gift that comes with this new life. God gives us His Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit comes to live within us, guiding us, comforting us, and helping us grow in our relationship with Jesus. The same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead now works within the hearts of believers. This is why the Christian life is not about trying harder to be good.
It is about learning to walk with Jesus each day. Just like the disciples walked with Him along the dusty roads of Galilee, we are invited to walk with Him through the ordinary moments of our lives. We learn to listen to His voice, trust His guidance, and grow in His love. This journey doesn’t happen all at once. It happens one day at a time. One step at a time.
And the beautiful promise is this:
Jesus walks with you every step of the way.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for the new life You have given me. Thank You for forgiving my sins and welcoming me into Your family. Help me learn to walk with You each day. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and guide me as I grow in my relationship with You. Amen.
