Obedience That Glorifies God
Scripture:
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”(Matthew 5:16)
Reflection:
Obedience is not only for our benefit; it glorifies God. Jesus teaches that when we live obedient lives, others notice and are drawn to the Father. Our obedience becomes a testimony that points beyond ourselves to His greatness.
This is why obedience matters so much — it is about more than rules. It is about reflecting God’s love and holiness in a world that desperately needs Him. When we obey, we bear witness that He is Lord of our lives.
Even small acts of obedience can have a ripple effect. A word of kindness, a step of integrity, or a sacrifice made in love may inspire others to glorify God. Our obedience becomes light in the darkness.
Prayer:
Father, let my obedience be a light that points others to You. May my life bring glory to Your name in everything I do.
