Resting in His Love
Scripture:
“As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Abide in My love.” (John 15:9)
Reflection:
Jesus invites us not only to remain in Him but to remain in His love. This is a profound truth: the same love the Father has for the Son is the love Jesus pours out on us. Abiding means resting in that unshakable love instead of striving to earn it.
We often wrestle with feelings of inadequacy or fear that God’s love will fade when we fail. But abiding in His love means trusting that nothing can separate us from it. His love is steady, constant, and eternal.
Resting in His love transforms us. It frees us from striving, heals our hearts, and fills us with security. When we truly believe in His love, we stop trying to prove ourselves and begin to live in peace and confidence.
Prayer:
Jesus, help me to abide in Your love today. Teach me to rest in the truth that I am fully loved by You, no matter what.
Reflection Questions:
Do I live as though I am loved by God, or do I still try to earn His approval?
2. How can I intentionally rest in His love today?
