Abiding in His Word
Scripture:
“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” (John 15:7)
Reflection:
God’s Word is meant to live in us, not just pass through our minds. Abiding in His Word means letting it dwell richly in our hearts, shaping our thoughts, decisions, and desires. The Word roots us in God’s truth and keeps us aligned with His will.
When Scripture abides in us, our prayers become more powerful because they align with God’s heart. Our desires shift to match His desires, and we begin to ask for the very things He longs to give. His Word guides us into prayers that bear fruit.
Abiding in His Word requires consistency — daily time reading, meditating, and reflecting. Over time, the Word takes root in us, transforming us from the inside out.
Prayer:
Lord, let Your Word abide in me. Write it on my heart and let it shape my thoughts, prayers, and actions.
Reflection Questions:
Is God’s Word dwelling in me daily or only occasionally?
2. How has Scripture shaped my prayers and desires recently?
