Fruit That Glorifies God
Scripture:
“By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be My disciples.” (John 15:8)
Reflection:
The purpose of abiding is fruitfulness. Jesus teaches that when we remain in Him, we will bear much fruit — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Gal. 5:22–23). This fruit is evidence that we belong to Him.
Our fruit is not for our glory but for God’s. When others see love and joy in us, even in trials, they are drawn to the One who sustains us. The fruit of the Spirit becomes a testimony that points to Christ.
Bearing fruit is not about striving but abiding. Our role is to stay connected to the Vine, and His life will naturally produce fruit in us. Abiding is the root; fruitfulness is the result.
Prayer:
Father, let my life bear fruit that brings You glory. Help me abide in Christ so that others may see You in me.
Reflection Questions:
What fruit of the Spirit is most evident in my life right now?
2. What fruit does God want to grow in me more fully?
