Bearing Fruit for His Glory

Scripture:

“This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be My disciples.” (John 15:8)

Reflection:

Jesus teaches that fruitfulness glorifies God. When our lives produce the fruit of the Spirit and good works, it becomes clear that we are His disciples. Our fruit is not about self-improvement — it is evidence of His life flowing through us.

Bearing fruit doesn’t mean striving harder; it comes from abiding in the Vine. As we remain in Christ, His love, patience, kindness, and goodness begin to flow through us naturally. The result is a life that reflects Him.

Our fruit brings glory to God because it demonstrates His transforming power. When others see peace in our storms, love for the unlovable, and faithfulness in difficulty, they see glimpses of God’s character. This is how He is glorified through us.

Prayer:

Father, may my life bear fruit that points others to You. Help me abide in Christ so that everything I do reflects Your glory.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What fruit of the Spirit is most visible in my life?

2. How can my fruitfulness point others to God this week?
