Obedience in the Small Things
Scripture:
“Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much.” (Luke 16:10)
Reflection:
We often think obedience is only about the “big” moments of faith, but God values faithfulness in the small things. Obedience in daily habits, choices, and attitudes builds a life of integrity and prepares us for greater responsibility.
The small obediences — telling the truth, choosing kindness, serving quietly, praying regularly — may seem unnoticed, but God sees them. These are the building blocks of a faithful life. They reveal whether our devotion is genuine or selective.
When we are faithful in the little things, God entrusts us with more. Obedience is cumulative; each small “yes” strengthens our spiritual muscles and prepares us for bigger steps of faith.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to be faithful in the small things today. Let every choice I make honor You, even when no one else notices.
Reflection Questions:
Do I overlook small opportunities to obey God because they seem insignificant?
What daily habit could I align more closely with God’s will?
