Love Expressed in Worship
Scripture:
“I love You, O LORD, my strength.” (Psalm 18:1)
Reflection:
Worship is love expressed. When David cried out, “I love You, O LORD,” it was not a casual statement — it was the overflow of a heart captivated by God’s faithfulness. Worship is our natural response to His greatness and goodness. It is how love takes voice.
Loving God in worship is not confined to singing on Sundays. It is a daily posture of gratitude, awe, and surrender. It can be as simple as whispering “I love You” in prayer, or pausing in the middle of a busy day to thank Him for His presence. Worship connects our love to action.
As we grow in loving God, worship becomes less about what we receive and more about what we give. It is the giving of our attention, our affection, and our adoration. Worship says: “Lord, You are worthy, no matter my circumstances.”
Prayer:
Lord, I love You and I worship You. Let my whole life — words, actions, and heart — be an offering of love to You.
Reflection Questions:
How do I express love to God in worship throughout my week?
What shifts when worship becomes about giving rather than receiving?
