Love That Lasts
āWho shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?... No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.ā (Romans 8:35, 37)

Love That Lasts
Scripture:
āWho shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?... No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.ā (Romans 8:35, 37)
Reflection:
Godās love for us is unbreakable, and our love for Him grows stronger as we root ourselves in that truth. Paul reminds us that nothing in all creation ā not trials, not loss, not persecution ā can separate us from Christās love. This assurance empowers us to love Him with a love that endures.
Loving God is not always easy. Life brings seasons of suffering and confusion that test our devotion. Yet it is in those very seasons that our love is refined. Like gold in the fire, love that clings to God in hardship shines more brightly than love that only sings in blessing.
The beauty of our relationship with God is that His love holds us even when ours wavers. As we abide in His love, He strengthens our capacity to love Him in return. Our love may be imperfect, but His love sustains it until the day we see Him face to face.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that nothing can separate me from Your love. Strengthen my heart to love You with a love that endures every trial.
Reflection Questions:
How has Godās unbreakable love sustained me in past difficulties?
What does it mean to love God with a love that lasts?
